I have a question for you Shimano Curado I guys. How well does this reel throw light baits? Something like a kvd 1.0 or something similar in that weight range. Thanks

A fairly new reel.  OOmod may be able to answer this question better but I'll shoot you a suggestion.  I am fixing to purchase a Chronarch Ci4.  The only reason I suggest this reel is that with the new braking system, you'll be able to throw 1/8oz baits a mile based on the reviews.  

 

If you trade in a reel at Bass Pro thru Saturday, you'll get 50 bucks off making the Ci4 $219.  Or trade in one for the Curado and you'll get 30 bucks off making it $150.  I was told if they don't have the reel you want, you can still get the reel for that price.  When they come in they'll give you a call.  

It should throw slightly under 1/4 oz a good distance. I've tried to throw 4.5 grams with it, the distance and accuracy was pretty bad.

Gander is having the same trade-in thru the 19th, in case anyone is interested.

Lightest thing I've thrown on it is rage toad weightless. Casts as far as you could possibly set the hook. Won't have the reel back for 2 weeks. Getting some upgrades and bling. Will report back later.

Ordered mine today and it's supposed to warm up next week. I'm excited.

Just picked up a Curado IHG yesterday, thing feels like it's built like a tank. The ice should be off our lakes this week so hopefully I'll get to toss it. I haven't cast with it yet but I have a Curado E5 on my squarebill rod and it will cast a KVD 1.0 a mile and I don't see it being any different with the I series. 

Yesterday I was casting a weightless 4" senko with my Curado I HG mounted on a *** *** black M/F and 20lb power pro in my yard. Got around 30 yards out of it fairly consistently. I can say it casts about the same a my Chronarch Ci4+ to be honest.
