Must Have Lure/plastic

Featured Replies

When you are down on your luck, weather isn't the greatest and you are about to give up what is the lure/plastic you go to? I know a lot of guys say plastics work great and are a must have, for me it's all about the square bill! When I'm about to head in I do a shore line or about 30 cast with a square bill to see if I can bring something up and keep me in the game for a little longer.

So Whats your go to lure/plastic?

when all else fails - zoom trick worm - t-rigged - split shot - ds - I've had many days saved by a t-rigged black trick worm - they've made this old guide look good many times

I end up going to grass beds in 8-12 ft with a t-rigged Culprit; either black shad, junebug or tequila sunrise.

Chomper watermelon twin tail catches em when nothing else will

Must have zoom magnum worm- black or water candy. You choose the approach I like wacky rigged no weight.

Another bandit crankbait- squarebill color Pinapple!

Brush Hog or Baby Brush Hog in Green Pumpkin - Just a confidence bait I suppose.

I usually just get ticked and leave swearing I won't go fishing for a month. Then the next morning I am dying to get back out on the water.

But I would say my old stand by lure is a Chartreuse twirl tail grub on a pink jig head.

This is my "go-to" rig also, except I fish it mostly in submerged timber and rip-rap.

As far as hard baits, 1/2 oz. Red Eye Shad in chrome/blue back

A black/blue jig is in the mix too.

I just have to think you'd be better off with hooks on that bait

Plain and simple.......Senko

Rage Tail Recon Falcon Lake!!! ;)

If I'm targeting deep water, a split shot rigged french fry worm. Shallow water gets a stick worm wacky rigged.

Mine has to be a 5" senko weightless T-rigged, watermelon and red flake. Or DS a 3" Powerbait minnow

I feel lost when I've burned through all my Fat Ikas.

A 7" blue fleck colored berkley power worm.

Black Charlies finness shakey head on the ledge just above cover dropping off into it!  ALWAYS GOOD FOR A DINK OR HAWG.

When all else fails I usually throw a Zoom 4" dead ringer either on a shakeyhead or t-rigged. Watermelon, black, or cherry seed.

Roboworm 4" alive shad or straight tail.
