Sunline Sniper

Featured Replies

Thinking or trying this on my jig/t-rig rod this year. Anyone have any experience with sniper?

Also, what's the difference between super sniper and sniper (Japan)? I see tw has both.

I really don't know the difference between the two however I use regular sniper and it is awesome. Seriously, it has a very thin diameter compared to other lines of the same lb test. It is very easy to cast as well. It has some stretch and isn't as abrasion resistant as sunline shooter, but for the price it is a great line.

My understanding is that the line is thinner than line from other companies simply because it breaks at its rated poundage.  Most companies take 10 pound line, label it as 6 pound and brag about having the strongest 6 pound line.  If a line breaks at 10#s then it really isn't 6# line is it.  I would call it 10# test.  Whatever happened to truth in advertising?

Originally sniper was limited to pound test under 10 ans was available in clear only.

Super Sniper has replaced theoriginal Shooter and is available up to 20 lb test and clear ot green colors.

For general bass fishing, including jigs and T-rigs, Super Sniper works good.
