Brand Names?

Featured Replies

This may be a useless question but why do some bait/tackle companies have different names within the brand name, such as how Berkley has

Berkley Powerbait

Berkley Havoc

Berkley Gulp

Same for Strike King, some have KVD in the name?

Are there any differences in these separate sub-brands? This is just something I've noticed and its probably something simple.

As for the Berkley stuff.............yes, there is a difference.

Powerbait is the stuff infused with.....well the powerbait scent.

Havoc is un-scented, with shapes/styles exclusive to the havoc line, and each bait "belongs" to the pro that designed it.

Gulp is a bio-degradable material.

Oh, that makes sense now that I look at the different baits.  I mostly here about Havoc and powerbait for bass fishing, not so much Gulp.

'Gulp' baits are the closest thing to natural bait, but as ww2farmer pointed out, they are biodegradable.

On the downside, you might notice an ill-wind in your tackle box      :fart:
