I have stuck with a certain brand of baitcasters for a while now and I just recently bought a new one of a different brand. The new one has a a bigger hand and has 10 bearings apposed to 9. Any good website that I can pick up some handles and bearimgs from. Also are all handles and bearings universal? What else can I customize.

Hawgtech makes a nice handle and they have one to fit about any reel. All handles are not interchangeable. Some can be swapped and some can't. Also some reel brands take different sized bearings in the handle knobs. What reel did you buy? That will give us a better place to start.

They all make parts to customize reels.

The customization options depend on what kind of reel it is. Handles are not universal, but daiwa and abu garcia handles seem to be interchangeable, I'm not sure if this is true for all daiwa models, but all abu handles are interchangeable with other abus. Bearings are size specific, but universal otherwise.

Hedgehog studios is a great place to start for customization options.

You can go the suggestions already given but also take a look at the "Show Off Your Stuff" forum to see what they look like on the reel as well as for some ideas

There isn't a whole lot of customizing parts for Lew's and Quantum. I'm still on the looking.

I can't seem to find the options of Lews. I can find Abu Garcia, Diawa, and others but now Lews.

I just looked up the hedgehog air bearings and they dont make them for lew's or quantum. I do like how they

describe what each kind of bearing does.

I'm going to look into bearing size today and see what size they all are. It should be in the reel schematics, right?

The size may or may not be in the schematic. I got to boca and search your specific model. It will give you bearing sizes under kit components.

Bearings are measured by IDxODxW. You wont find bearing sizes or specs on any schematic. Boca has a model search that's pretty good. I'm a Boca dealer and will sell to members here at 10% off list.
