Im a newbie to bass fishing im from va done alot of crappie and catfishing wanna expand into bass fishin. I know how to use a baitcaster from catfishing so I brought a abu garcia black max combo to start.most lakes are clear the river is a little stain can u give me a couple baits to start with want to learn and not be overwhelmed with a bunch of tackle

I'd start with soft plastics. Something like a Bass Pro Stick-O in 4", fish it wacky rigged. As well, Zoom makes some great worms, the Trick worm and Finesse worms.

 

Colors can be simple stuff like watermelon, green pumpkin, black, and variants thereof.
