I know this isnt really related to bass fishing but i was looking into getting some doa 42 piece 3 inch shrimp kit for my next vacation in ft myers beach i was wonder if any one has used these on here and how productive they were, also the best way to work tthem for snook reds and trout thanks

Doa shrimp are very popular. I won a DOA Mogan Kit as door prize a couple of weeks ago. They are supposed to be very effective on red drum, trout, snook or anything esle that feeds on shrimp. I can't wait for the water to warm up a little more here in SE North Carolina so that I can try out my kit.  Another option is to get yourself a couple of packs of Bekley Gulp shrimp in the white or new penny colors. These are very popular and effective. You can either use it on lead jig head or rig it on a Carolina rig. I have even caught fish with these on a two hook bottom rig when I ran out of real shrimp.

I use them all the time in mobile bay and catch trout and some nice reds on it.  If you are trying to catch trout or reds i would suggest getting some live shrimp or if your can get some live croaker they work about 5x better then a Doa shrimp.

DOA products have been surprisingly efefctive for me even though they  at first seem to have little action. Glow pattern is a killer.

DOA's are outstanding Speckle Trout bait, one of the best; they should come with a jig already inserted in the bait. Work them the same way you would a Texas Rig or under a popping cork.

Other good Speck/Red baits are H & H's Sparkle Beetles 3 & Cocahoe Minnows 3 fished on lead heads, along with their Cajun Spins.  

I always tip the hook with a piece of shrimp  

The key is fishing them S-L-O-W

Most of the hits I get are when the bait is stopped.
