Finished up my crate

How do you guys think she looks?  I am about to take her out now to see how I like the position the rods are in for casting.  The only things I'd like to add are a fishfinder (got a line on a lowerance elite 4) and maybe a scotty baitcast rod holder for the slide tracks.  I also saw this http://i.imgur.com/yBgMwnp.jpg?1 and was thinking a bucket might be cool for bucktails when I'm out in the salt and want to scale down on what I carry.  Also, wanted to get some thoughts on anchor or stake out poles.

1st of all I'm sorry u haven't got any responses yet. I think your setup looks great! I just put a crate on my yak this week myself. I would recommend looking on youtube for anchor system ideas. Lots of guys use a rope system for this, good luck.

Half the fun of rigging a kayak for fishing is putting together your own crate. It looks good and functional. Sure, you can buy a Yak Attack BlackPac, but it is a lot of fun building your own. My crates are always in a constant state of evolution and one day I’ll find a way to mount gear tracks. You’ve got a good yak there, my next yak purchase will be a WS Ride.

I like it! See how it fishes and modify to your liking, if needed.

Love modding my yak. Did several crates over the years, but no longer fish with one...for now. But I always keep an open mind and mod away when my mood or methods change direction.

Nice set up. I just bought a kayak a little bit ago n was looking into anchors or a stake out pole. But everything was expensive.

What I decided on doing is getting a garden stake from home depot for like 5 bucks read that on another forum for a stake out for six foot of water. And for deeper water I was gonna get a retractable dog leash n tie a dumbbell on the end. I don't like the idea of line or chain everywhere for an anchor so thought this might work. And I'd mark how deep the water is on the leash so I have an understanding of what to use. Im gonna get all this this weekend n hopefully give it a go.

Stake out poles I also read that paint rollers and golf ball retrieve poles work well with some modifications

That looks good...........I wish I could kayak.......my back and neck will not allow me to twist much so I don't think  I could do it.
