  1. The Vanford newest version in the size 2000 has a really nice loud audible drag clicker compared the the 2500 and 3000 series in case you were wondering.
  2. 852s for smallie all around. Largie 893c Walleye-822syr or GLX 863 DSR River smallie rod 852s or 822syr 872 is overkill for smaller finesse stuff that is use. But Killer tube heavier jig dragging rod
  3. Glx 863 great rod for Great Lakes heavy drop shots. I'd throw 1/2 from time to time. DSR I feel the same way. To soft for casting or scope fishing. Wanted to like the NRX 872 for power drop but was to stiff same goes for the 852s NRX. I think you'll like the 863.
  4. Heres my minimalist setup for Small Mouth Bass fishing. This stays up front with me at all times on my boat and kayak. It's a Daiwa box made from Meiho. All small terminal stays in its slot and never overlapse. As you can see I also put my extra terminals in an old soft plastic bag keeping them in the original bag so they do not rust all together. Everything fits inside the Lakewood plastic storage. I also have an additional big Evolution terminal box if I need anything I grab from their. This has been the most efficient way for me so far...
  5. Toss half of that in it's original bag and throw them in an old use zoom baggy. Toss that bag with your plastic and they'd will never rust. Sucks when 1 rust it contaminate the rest of them
  6. Unless this lure i found is super secretive that it was never put out on the market. I was lucky enough to snag it in years ago. Finally used it the other day and it was fire. Lol
  7. The DR tiny blitz in the coffin bill is so hard to get. Do u have any pictures of one? I knew it i should of taken a pic of mine before I lost it. I cant find a pic online or any info on the tiny blitz dr coffin bill anywhere. Or find any available to purchase on ebay or overseas.
  8. Has anyone recall seeing the tiny blitz in the deeper diver bill with the coffin bill design? I know they have a deep runner in the tiny blitz but I had found one in the tiny blitz with the original coffin bill on it that dive deeper with a longer bill. I had just 1 and lost it but cannot seem to find them anywhere anymore. Must of been a very old version. Looks like the new tiny blitz diver is the newest design with your standard bill.
  9. If open water you could get away with a medium. Normally for all my senko rod med heavy ideal. But if you are gonna be Texas rig with 1/4 I'd go MH all the way. In the 7'3 or 7'5. Use to fish long rods like a 7'5 in the loomis line but I eventually going back to shorter rods in the 7 to 7'3. Better balance overall and more nimble for easy twitches easier to fish with all day
  10. To op...... skip the Tatula and the Lavante. Get the New series of Okuma X rods. From owning alot of NRX, Croix, Megabass, Exprides & Adrenas. The Okuma rods are hard to beat right now. The blanks are by far the most lightest I've ever fished next to a custom rod feel and the price is good too not overly expensive. Check them out before you can pull the trigger on the other brands
  11. Have you guys felt these in hands yet? These blanks are amazingly light. I'm a big Loomis guy and I gotta say they are lighter than my NRXs. Can't wait to here from your guys experiences.
  12. Cork seal it and then use ceramic coat after it has cured. It will feel like natural cork and at the same time sealed.
  13. Fleet Farm got great deal atm. 20 percent off additional on already clearance items.
  14. Maybe something like this https://youtu.be/49PChUnP0m8?si=ogNKUKqDepf4K05M https://youtu.be/jzJD_u9G3SU?si=dnj1L6TwsVENbb_v
  15. Very lucky this morning with ALF before they swtich over to 20 percent off the loomis. Got the 25 percent this AM then they switch it to 20.
  16. Largie or smallie fishing?
  17. 12 rods, 3 fish finder, at least 2 trolling motor, 2 big Walmart 29dc batteries, 4 rod holders, 2 nets, coolers and biggest crate I can bring. Oh and back pack for clothing and extra stuff. Lol. Jk. 2 rods typically and a tackle box. Frog rod and a MH rod. River fishing 1 rod, 7 medium. Very minimalist.
  18. These rods feel like a mixed of imx pro and a blend of GLX. Nothing NRX in these

Call other small local vendors that carry name brand that are typically excluded. Some will do deals some won't. Wait for expos probbaly your best bet for deals off everything. Very lucky to get New GLX rod 25 percent off. Wasn't like back in 2014 when everything was cheaper and 40 percent off everything at TW during the classic sales. You guys remember that? Killer deal
  20. Put some better line on that Windbuster. I have one and with some good line omg I am out casting everyone on shore during the walleye run. Far casting lines, Nanofil, YGK x8, Sunline plasma, J braid x8, Powerpro Super slick
  21. From my experience with all the high end gear I have. Yes the 1016 is my top farthest caster for frogs.
  22. Has anyone fished them exclusively? How are they comparerd to say the older ones or the OG NRX blanks. Are the lighter? Planning to get a GLX jerkbait rod. Kinda stinks no store has them so I can feel them. Pretty much gonna wing it on a casting jerkbait rod. Have a chance with one for 25 percent off
