Keep an eye on this thread and the RoadTrip in the General Section for

more on our success at Wilson and Pickwick.

We did okay Sunday dragging soft plastics about 10 ft of water as the rain was moving in. Haven't been since we got the heavy rain the last couple days.

Where you at in Alabama?

I live in Gulf Shores.

Northwest Alabama, Tuscumbia to be exact. We couldn't find the bite yesterday but got a few crappie for the fryin pan.

I was on Wheeler yesterday (where the Elk River comes in) and caught 5 in about 2.5 hours.  Biggest was 3.9 lbs.  But be careful, there were limbs and whole trees floating everywhere due to the recent tornado activity.  It seemed like once the sun got high in the sky, the bit slowed way down.

Swimjigs, Poppers & Frogs are killing it in the shoreline grass on Eufaula

Went out at Live Oak Landing, Tensaw.  River is very muddy.  Tried back in some small lakes.  They also are muddy and in the woods.Jigs-Lizards-spinnerbaits-no luck.  Let's hope the upcoming rain will not be too heavy.

Seems like every water system beside's Lake Wedowee is always muddy in Alabama lol. That's why I never even fool with putting a leader on my green berkley braid. Unless I go there need to find some more spots in north east Alabama to check out I only fish from the bank right now so its kinda tough. Been wondering if some of these sub divisons with lakes on them have any fish???
