Bps Crankin' Stick 7' M Vs H20 Ethos 7' M Composite

Featured Replies

I am just throwing out a bunch of questions so please just answer whichever you can.

Which is more sensitive? I like to have some sensitivity when cranking.

Which has more backbone?

Which has a softer tip?

Which has a faster action?

Which weighs more?

Thanks

I don't know anything about the Ethos, but I'm a big fan of the BPS crankin sticks. You can't beat the price. I've had a 7' M and used it on everything from square bills to deep divers. Very sensitive and has plenty of power to horse in big bass.

BPS Cranking Stick is my favorite crankbait rod.

Very sensitive.

For the price you can't beat it.

You can't beat the price. s.

Actually you can and ethos does 59.99<79.99. Just wanted to give ya a little razzin.

Both are going to have similar charteristics being composite rods. The contour grip on the cranking stick is nice and the split grip on the ethos is also very well done. My vote is for the ethos but as for sensitivity you can't beat a all graphite rod I use the veritas winch and it has great sensitivity, soft tip and good backbone plus it is nice and lightweight. Just an alternate suggestion @79.99 which is in the price point you are looking at.

I like the way Ethos feels over the Cranking Stick. The Cranking Stick just didn't seem to load as evenly which hurt my casting distance and made it easier for fish to pull off. Both are nice rods though and I think you'll be happy with either.

Edwin Evers uses the BPS cranking stick and he DOES lose quite a few fish...

Im on my 4th year with my 7'M crankin stick, i have no problems losing fish, if your wondering about strength, ive caught tiger muskie on this same rod, I use this rod more than my other rods by a lot and it still looks almost new, i can cast anything with this rod and the load is smooth and perfect, my casting distance is amazing. Im not too sure about the other rod because ive never used it so i cant say anything about that. Crankin stick is amazing and feel everyone should own one, just my opinion.
