Yo-Zuri Hybrid

Featured Replies

I recently had to de-spool my crankin stick of the seaguar abrazx that i had on there because it was old and because i only had half spool left on my reel. Problem is, i didnt have more to replace it with at the moment. My cousin has yo zuri hybrid in 12lb test, so he let me spool my rod with it and try it out. I have got to say this line for the price is amazing. I literally beat the crap out of it and still holds strong. Casts smooth, can feel all i need to feel and its strong as heck. In the near future i plan on picking up some 10lb line in the same line and give that ago. Although I still love my seaguar fluoro, this stuff is just tuff to beat for the price and the amount of line you get. I have also tested topwater fishing on the same rod just to see how it did and honestly works just fine. I have a topwater rod setup with mono and will probably leave that alone for now because i still like that setup, but if im ever in a hurry and need to respool and theirs yozuri around, i have no problem using it!

Great stuff and if you have not tried this line, you should.

Yes Sir! Been using Yo for years and years...

I use 8 llb on my crank setups... It's actually

Gone up in price in the last 4 or 5 years...

I was paying 7.99 for a 250 or 300 yd spool.

It's really good stuff!!

Yep, I just went back to it after finding some old spools of it.

Holds up well, very sensitive, and stupid strong!  The line is a lot stronger then it's rating, that's why I run with it.

It is amazing line and has always performed well for me.

I'm a big fan, too!

Spinning gear: #6

Baitcasting: #12

After some time it does become a pain to control, I feel like the 15lb size also has line management problems. I'll stick with red label or invizx from here on out.  The 12lb I used is the only line that hasnt been an issue for me.

I only use leaders connected my braided mainline. Normally that means one of three brands:

1) P-Line Floroclear - mist green (fluorocarbon-coated copoly) anywhere from 6-15 pound test

2) Yo-Zuri Hyrbid - green - 8-15 pound test

3) XPS fluorocarbon - 8-12 pound test

The 15 pound YZHybrid is crazy strong, and even a 6-foot leader has curls in it even after fishing it for a while.

It is good, strong stuff. Of all, probably P-Line Floroclear is my favorite. I think their "green" blends into the water better than Yo-Zuri's "green".

I agree, I like using all fluoro mainline for most of my rods so the loops get annoying.
