Laziest Fish I Ever Caught

Featured Replies

I got it from work tonight and decided to do a little bank fishing. I was throwing a Zara Spook and walking it from a pretty good distance out back to where I was on the bank. On one cast I let it sit there for a few seconds and a small largemouth (maybe a little over a pound) hit it. I got excited and ready for a fight only to have the fish basically put up absolutely no fight at all and let me drag him right up to the bank. Crazy. Laziest largemouth I have ever caught.

That is definitely weird! He probably was just like "Dang, another one of these?Well jokes on him I wont put up a fight!"

You caught a stoner!  Next time, give 'em a little line and he might forget he's hooked. :)

I have had that happen before, last time it happened i noticed it was hooked pretty close to the brain. Could just be coincidence.

Happened to me the other day but on a rebel wee crankbait. Kinda disappointing.

Theres a spot on many fish if it is hooked just right it will paralize them.same thing a snapping turtle does if he bites him just perfect the fish is paralized seen it happen to a 3 to 4 pound bass before and the snapper was small dinner plate size

That was kinda what i was thinking, makes sense.

If they have a mouth full of trebles and hard plastic they tend to struggle to fight
