I recently spooled my Revo S and Veritas with 14lb Suffix and it seems really loud. Is this normal?

No. I have 12lb suffix siege and I don't hear a thing

Possibly. Could it be the semi-micro guides on my veritas? im a first time baitcaster owner so maybe im just not customed to regular reel/rod/line noise

I get loud casts with line. Usually when its loosely spooled.

I don't get any extra noise from using a casting rod with micro guides.  Now spinning gear is another story....especially with braid, but mono is also noisier than with regular guides....if I remember correctly.  Hated micro guides n a spinning rod so I took it back.
