Soft Swimming Lures?

Featured Replies

Evening friends- well Id say near bout 90% of the time I throw out worms. In my mind, these gotta be the best baits.

But Ive been meanin to try out these here Soft Plastic Swimmers that my nephew provided.  They are Plastic like worms- not sure what brand they were.

(Sorry all dont know how to post a photograph on the web site!!!!)

swimbaits.  I personally use them with a jig head.  if I'm swimming them up top of the column a light jig head 1/4 oz or less,  Swim the bottom 1/2 oz or less.  To stroke em in deep waters (17' or deeper) I use 3/4 oz.  Effective bait in the summer time when the bass wont touch a jig.  I very seldom swim them in shallows though.  Lots of good anglers use them, I just prefer flukes for swimming...

The baits you have look like Banjo Minnows. I would trash those and

buy Shadalicious, Berkly Hollow Belly or Keitech Swing Impact Fat.

The Shadalicious and Hollow Belly can be rigged on a weighted

hook, I prefer a Buckeye J-Will Swimbait head for the Keitech:

The truth is that those don´t "swim", brand doesn´t matter those are jerkbaits, the most "swimming" action you can get out of those is if you rig them on a scrounger jighead.

If what you want is something that swims you need real swimming baits: swimming super flikes, shadalicious, money minnows, swing impact and so on.

Trash those get a some like Roadwarrior suggested or a couple packs of the missile baits shockwave

I like using a jig head or a scrounger with Yum Money Minnow. Money minnows can be bit pricey. They do catch bass.

Good luck.
