any one had any experience with these reels?

I own 2 of the exceler exe models. It's a nice little reel for the $70 you can get them for. I've had no issues and I use them quite a bit.

I picked up the older model for 49 bucks from Cabelas, decent little reel. Really like the feel of the handle nice big knobs.

my son has been using it some too.

The new ones are pretty nice little reels. I still prefer the older model. It was heavier, but had nicer features and a smoother retrieve. Especially liked the MagZ on the older one. The new one is basically a Lexa with more plastic and cheaper bearings.
