Anyone Complete Any Of This Year's Fishing Goals?

Featured Replies

i only have 2 goals for this year and today i accomplished one by catching more fish this year than last year. the other is to catch a fish that qualifies for a pennsylvania angler award. so have any of you accomplished any of your goals yet?

Catch my PB.

2nd time out I landed a 8 pound bass which bested my 6 pd 4 oz PB. Was about to call it quits before the toad nailed my crankbait.

I haven't yet, but am well on my way.  My goal is to catch more big (5lb+) fish than I did last year.  Last night I landed three which means I'm only seven short of that goal.  Last year I didn't have three until my annual July musky trip.  One tactic I'm using is getting out more often, even if for short outings.  I figure if I can put 20 hours more on the water this year vs. last, it will up my odds.

I broke my Pb record already which I haven't done for a few years. My other goal was to qualify for the FLW College National Championship, still trying to make the invitational right now.  :wink2:

Caught my new PB Smallie. only 15in., but i was stoked. my next few goals to catch my first fish with each of the following lures: Hula Popper, Buzbait, Crankbait, Jig, and Senko

Caught PB striper and catfish. Catfish was 25 striper was 16

Caught my personal best spot 4.5lbs.

I caught bass on a jig. I was always intimidated by them before.

If you mean catch the state record fish.. uh.. not yet

Yes, my main goal was to win the Wisconsin High school State SAF Championship..... I won, and move on to Huron, OH in September for Central Conference Regionals

Yes.. I had a couple..

1. Use more Texas rigged plastics

2. Use more crankbaits

I have accomplished both and caught fish on both set ups...win!

Oh yeah and I wanted to use more frogs! I did this and caught a PB on a black and yellow ( Steelers) Scum Frog!!

Only had one goal for the year- get a new personal best... Its a never ending goal!

I only had one, caught my new Large Mouth PB. I did so with flying colors topping the scales with a guesstimate of a little over 9lbs dare say double digit territory. Up here in NY bass that size are just unheard of, hell the state record is only 11lbs. So I set myself some new goals, catch a smallmouth bass and a trout for the first time use strictly artificial baits, lol

Oh yeah, I´been out twice, that means I´ve achieved my fishing goals twice, who knows, still 6 more months maybe I´ll achieve my goals 3 or 4 times, so far I´m cool.

I just accomplished one of my goals and that was to finish well enough at the Ohio Bass Federation regionals to move on to the state tournament in October.
