Need Advice On New Rod

Featured Replies

i lost one of my good spinning rod/reel combos and i need a new one. i need something sensitive at a low price. on this setup i will be throwing shakey heads, trickworms, flukes senkos, ect.... please give me some ideas on some rods and reels. i have around 150 to spend on both total.

I have a Denali Jadewood 7' Shakey Head rod ($99) paired with a Lew's spinning reel.  Great setup for those applications.

St Croix mojo bass 6'10 m x-fast with a Used shimano Sahara 160-170 dollar combo that's good and sensitive

I'd look to spend about 100 on the rod and 50 on the reel. Lots of good options out there at those price points

Tons of good options in the $100 range for rods, and the Pflueger President is a good reel for around $50.

*** *** Black and the Fenwick HMX are a couple of good options.

Try and Okuma Trio 30s spinning reel. GREAT reel that can be had for around $50. It's QUALITY and it's priced right. Gives you tons of options for a nice rod too.

I just did the same thing. I picked up a *** *** and a Pflueger spinning reel and I love that setup!

I also use a president on a fenwick HMX, great combo for the price.
