So we've been getting a lot of rain over the past few days here in the western Md area. Had multiple tornado warnings. Well today's storm was just a bit too much. This is what happened in a matter of an hour today. It stopped raining for a bit but now it's storming again.

That's pretty nasty looking.  I can relate, we had 23" of rain at one time a few months ago.

Storm dropped 2 inches of rain at my house by Bosher's Dam on the Historic James River.

 

Lakes and rivers will be muddy or heavily stained next week.

 

But that's fishing.

Holy cow....We got none of that over here. A light drizzle all day yesterday but that was it.

Yeah it was a moment of chaos. So many friends who live in a certain area all have flooded basements. I don't mean a few inches of water either. It's in the 2ft range.

I hope everyone effected by that flooding recovers from the damages...

Wow crazy out here in California we are in a drought.

This is my friends little man cave in his basement. As you can see the water is almost as high as his computer desk. Thankfully it didn't get his gaming computer but there is an xbox 1 under the water plus a star wars edition xbox 360. Tv is ruined,new furnace,treadmill,expensive vacuum,dehumidifier,carpet,couch. Everything out in the garage is covered in water and sludge.   The church that was pictured above was being completely cleaned out today when I went over to his house.

My brother had just bought a house in pensicola when that happened. It ended up with about 18" of water in it. ;(

I don't know i'm pretty sure a black spinner bait might work under the bridge ......... In all seriousness that sucks man , I don't even know what I would do I mean its not like you can just walk down the street somewhere else . 

I haven't been steady bass fishing in about two years do to my health.

It's been nothing but rain. But to me when I see deer moving during the day I know the bass are on too. The rain let up yesterday and I seen a doe cross the road. Today I seen a fawn cross the road. Tomorrow I'm going to drag my body out of bed and go bass fishing. I GOTS to go.........

When we had the 23" a couple of the ponds over filled across streets into some of the homes, I was on high ground so I was fine, but I couldn't drive out of the community.  Some of the nearby communities had water so high it was up to the door handles of cars, my friend had her car totaled out by the insurance co.  I hope people have flood insurance, homeowners may not cover it.  I would suggest getting a mold inspection.

 

Last Sept. my water tank ruptured, not being an act of god insurance paid the claim which was about 25k.  I was amazed how much water gets soaked up into the drywall, it's like a sponge.  The water had spread to areas where the floor was not flooded.  That nightmare took 3 months of restoration.

I see the nintendo survived....  wonder if your going to have to still blow into the game cartridges now???

The boiler may still be OK, it will probable need a new board installed and cleaned out though
