Which Casts Further - Curado I Or Chronarch E

My next reel might be one of these two. Which casts further?

I own several, my curado I cast just as far as my CTE200 GT... That's very far! E ain't far behind either of them.

Loaded question. What are you trying to accomplish? What size reel? Which baits? What rod? How about line? I own a few Es, and have played with an I. I can get a bait hung in the trees with both. :)

I have used both extensively for months side by side and there both really close however I would give the slight edge to the curado I from what I have seen in terms of casting distance however it's minimal 5-10 yards tops.

30 feet is minimal?

The motive behind my questions on distance have been because of deep cranking, trying to get as much distance as I can.

Try a longer rod

With all things being equal, my bet would be that you are going to see repeatable casts somewhere in the range of 35 -40 yards from both reels.  IMHO what changes with the advent of better braking and lighter materials is the ease that repeatable casts can be made.   IMO, distance has not been greatly affected by newer reels and materials, the average to good angler can repeat casts somewhere close to 40 yards.  Casts longer than that usually occur when heavier weights or longer rods  are introduced.   There are exceptions to everything and some exceptional anglers like KVD report repeatable casts of almost 50 yards in great conditions.

Yep. If you do a lot of deep cranking you need to be able to get some nice distance. We do a lot of long lining out here on Douglas Lake so it's not a major deal if my reels don't toss them a mile but it is nice.

The right rod with just about any reel is better than a screaming reel and the wrong rod, for chucking cranks.
