I was fortunate enough for some people on here to tell me that I could transform my Revo sx. 6.4:1 gen 3 into a 7.1:1 under $30. Thanks again for whomever helped me out. I'm wondering now that the Revo rocket has come out with a 9.0:1 ratio if it's possible to upgrade to that??? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Looking at the schematics it should work with no problems, the drag washer stack up uses exactly the same parts in both reels, the IAR sleeve is the same and the AR bearing is the same.  The parts you would need to change would be

 

Main Gear   1281156

Pinion Gear 1281155

 

Should be an easy swap as long as we are talking about Gen 3 Revo SX.

Did we ever clear the air as far as changing a Revo SX 6.4:1 into a 9.0:1? Is this possible by changing the main gear and the pinion gear?
