I am looking at buying a new spinning rod because I snapped mine a couple of days ago. I am looking for some info the rods in the picture. Which and why would be your choice out of this list. I am trying to stay around the 125 dollar mark. Any other suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Those are all great choices. Go with the cheapest option.

Mainly shakeyhead maybe a few other light presentation techinques.

^ Agreed, depends on what type of techniques you hope to utilize the rod for. I recently got a St. Croix mojo MBC70MHM and love it. Cant beat the croix warranty either.

Fenwick,croix or the powell would be my choices for shaky head and lighter applications. 

Well I have only used the falcon, it's a great rod for Pop R's , small Dt4, or open hook tubes, as it is a moderate action, quite parabolic, I always felt it was more a medium/lite than medium, at least in my opinion... I don't think it would excel at shaky? But you could force it, I wouldn't. I have not used any others.

I sold mine too and my buddy has one and he never uses his.  I've heard you need to move up to an avid to really appreciate the st croix line.  Some day I'd love to get my hands on a legend extreme.

Oh i love my ltb!

Picked up the Smallmouth 6'9" MXF Saturday and did a little fishing with it.  It handles light baits really well.  Haven't tried any towards the high end yet.  Here is a quote from an Online friend of mine that got me into using more Fenwick rods.....especially the Smallmouth series.

 

"I know you'll like that rod, I can throw small jigs and weightless 4" Jointed Jerkbaits,  These are a soft plastic bait like a super fluke but made by River Rock Baits, Awesome soft jerkbait but it does a great job with them weightless. Senko style worms in 3" 4" and 5" are awesome on that rod, as are tubes,  It really is a very versatile rod. I use it during the summer for the soft plastic jerkbaits and shaky heads the most, unless I'm in the river and then it is a tube rod, but the first time I used the rod was in November, a month after they were released and I was catching bass in 26' of water on a 3/16" shaky head with a 5" straight tail worm on it using 8lb monofilament and I had no problem feeling light bites."

 

So far I am very happy with it although I had no luck that day.....not an unexpected circumstance for me in this area.  :sad788:

You might not want to get your hands on one....it'll make you wish all your rods were LegendXtremes!

Id go with the elite tech smallmouth out of that list. I love my 6'3" medium for almost everything but im rhinking about getting a longer one for better casting distance ro replave my powell deisel. Cabelas has them on sale right now. Tje crucial is also a great rod and you can get them on sale right now and can't beat shimanos warranty. Fyi if you decide to get the citrix they have them on the walmart site for around $80 and free shipping to the store nearest you
