Id This Lure

Featured Replies

Can anyone ID this lure for me?

Looks pretty common, but I can never find it at any stores.  Ive had some decent luck with it and I want to have a backup if I happen to lose it

Thank you

Berkly Frenzy, I think.

Berkly Frenzy, I think.

I think you're right.   It looks like an old one that is no longer made though.

Put some new hooks on that bait before you fish it again.

Yeah looks like an old frenzy deep diver. Discontinued when they came out with the flicker shad. If not, then its a no-name knockoff of one.

Definitely a Berkley Frenzy Deep Diver

Why, what's wrong with those?

The ones on the OP's picture are horribly twisted and rusted out.

You should know I take my sarcasm very seriously........I was just messin with Jrob.

Looks like a floater, aka free lure. I find floaters quite a bit around here. Some dawn dish soap and a scrubby pad usually cleans them up pretty well.. remove the hooks and replace them. If it doesn't clean up well then hit it with a couple coats of krylon plastic spray paint in white, clear coat it and toss on or draw on some eyes. I've caught quite a few fish on redneck custom painted white cranks.

They just look really sharp, I don't want the OP to poke himself.

just buy any new crankbait, bounce it off the same old log and catch the same ole bass.  your success with the lure likely had more to do with the fact that you were on the water fishing than home on the sofa. time to call in sick!   :fishing2:
