Susquehanna Near Harrisburg

Featured Replies

Fishing it this weekend, so if anybody's got any tips on patterns/baits to throw would love to hear about it.  Also looking for some good wadeable spots or bank fishing opportunities as well in that area.  We've hunted trout on the yellow breeches up there, but looking to maybe fish some other waters for bass.  Would appreciate any intel!

poppers early, spinnerbaits, or tubes concentrating behind big rocks were there is a deeper hole and a break in the current. Can't really help with wadeable areas, only been there on jet boats. Great smallmouth area.

The only thing I can add to this is bring some flukes.

Yellow twister tails will slay 'em. I fish near Falmouth when I go so I usually get to the current or the rocks and find good deep places.

The river from sunbury south has been stained much more then normal this year along with poor water quality.  Spinnerbaits in the harrisburg area have been working decent.  Tubes and bright (yellow) grubs are also working.  I would not concentrate on finding schoolies until the eel grass gets back to normal and the water cleans up.  You can find wadeable water at Goldsboro, Wormleysburg and fallmouth.

Beavers man...smallie beavers to be exact

Also carry black and chrome jerk bait, tube and a spinnerbait
