Anyone Score?

Featured Replies

Did anyone score an awesome deals on gear this weekend, I know I got some pretty d3cent deals myself.

Some jigs with Siebert and some random stuff at TW with the 15% off. Nothing to run home about.

Dicks seems to be having a huge clearance deal. 50% off a lot of awesome stuff. I scored all kinds of awesome stuff. Bought prob 60 dollars in tungsten weights that were cheaper than lead

The DSG in my neighborhood rarely ever has any of the deals that I see you guys finding. Don't know why...oh well.

^x2.........Ohio stores never seem to have much selection at all, except perhaps for the old Galyans locations, but even then stuff hardly ever goes on sale. A couple of months back, one near me was still selling a Curado G for $160 and wouldn't come down and match BPS or anyone else. I seldom ever shop there anymore.

bought a gander mountain vortex casting rod on sale for $15 and a wright and mcgill skeet reese victory reel on clearance at dick's for $50

Two weeks ago I found a sale at wal-mart for gamakatsu skip gap hooks $1.00 per pack.  Bought every one they had.  Also had some tungsten for $1.50 per pack so bought a couple of those.  This weekend just bought some spinbaits from TW for 15% off.

I stocked up on line. Got some at TW, and ran over to dicks yesterday. Deal was take an extra 50% of the clearance price. Scored pxx for about $3.50 a spool.

Nope.  Wanted a 6'10" MH-MF Smallmouth casting rod, but my transmission went this weekend.  :sad78:  Maybe next holiday sale I will have some funds available.  Seems like sales and my funds never coincide.  :cry4:

I am in Ohio too--you are right--DSG stores around here seldom have anything worthwhile on sale--pretty much given up on hunting and fishing and turned into clothing store--very seldom shop there anymore

Bob's don't shop at Dick's,,,,,,,been in three, never again, looked like a glorified Wall Mart to me, and there assistants new less about what they were selling than my grandkids, but acted like authorities! :rolleyes7:

But I did score a Stradic 1000FA Ci4+ last week for $168.00 and should have been looking for some 10# 832 for it, I will get it spooled and run it threw its paces on a Smallmouth trip this week. :thumbsup1:

found a 7'2" MH XF crucial for 90, a diawa lexa 2500 for 72, and a curado 200g6 for 75...it was a good time...there was a 6'8" M xf dropshot crucial...but im looking for the 7'2"...

Found a "factory seconds" ( blemish) rod, it was a fenwick aetos. 180$ retail, paid $60. Tickled pink. The problem with it was a blemish on the cork handle, by the butt. The rod fishes like a dream and I caught 5 hogs on it this weekend. I paired it with a pflueger patriarch , last years model which sold for $199.99, also got that for $60. Beautiful rod and reel, heck of a combo.
