2014 Fall Strip Pitt Classic

I just got home from the strip pits today. Man was the fishing tough! I'm sure the cold front didn't help at all. I didn't catch a lot of fish but the ones I did catch were decent. I only fished the trout pond as I was with my wife and she really didn't care to fish a lot so we just stayed near the cabin. Hope you all have fun fishing there. According to the local the state record bass lives in the trout pond, I sure the heck didn't see him! They stock the trout pond with trout the first weekend in October so the bass fishing ought to be good with the big ones chasing those little trout.

We saw one the first time I was ever on the trout pond that I still believe was 100% for sure a state record class fish. The number of fish in the 5-7 pound range we saw that day was incredible, they just wouldn't eat anything we threw at them.

Ok guys just a couple days left who's in gonna be a good weekend for fishing

I may be able to make it but the fishing just plain sucks at the pits this year.I have talked to guys who have fished them for years and they say this is one of the roughest years they have saw for bass fishing.I have been on vacation all this week and fished most everyday at the ts and have only caught basically bait.If others are in I am sure I can go.But if no one else is I will stay home and pkay in the shop all weekend.
