Abu Garcia Vs Diawa

Featured Replies

I am looking for a very high ratio reel either a diawa tatula type r 8:1.1 or abu Revo rocket 9:0.1 wondered if the hundered dollar differance is worth it? Thanks for the input!!

There's more than $100 difference if you're paying the right price for the R. I wouldn't pay that much for a Revo though. If it's anything like the Gen3 Premier, it's not worth it. I think the Rocket is just a fast Premier with red paint, so I'd opt for the Tatula if it were me.

Go with a Curado or Tatula/R. After the debacle I went through with numerous Gen 3 Revos, I wouldn't recommend their gear to anyone.

I couldn't agree more, Shimano or Daiwa. Money well spent.

I have the rocket and a regular tatula. Like the tatula better. Just my 2 cents.

My buddy loves his Rocket, but he went back to his Zillion for frogging because it more cranking power. He said the Rocket couldn't handle the torque. I told him him to move the fish with the rod, and he said he was an old dog, lol.

Tatula Type-R definitely!

Another vote for the Tatula

what he said! I was die hard Shimano until I got the Tatula, now I have 2 plus a type r. I like both brands very much and for many different reasons. Either way your golden.

He wants the fastest reel so if its shimano that would be the metanium xg, available from Japan for much cheaper than in the u.s.
