Tatula Hd, Tatula Type R, Tatula

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I have found that the tatula can be found for about $100 and the type r being about $150. You can also buy a tatula Hd for $200. I am really just looking at the tatula and tatula hd. But we can throw in the type r too. Is it really worth the extra $100 for the new hd? Not sure what all of the features do so if someone could explain that'd be great.

Is the type r worth the extra $50 or is the tatula hd worth the extra $100? I really want a tatula but I'm not sure which one to get. I've be using a lot of spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, topwater frogs, and worms. So that's what I basically use. I will most likely use mono or half mono, half braid as a leader. It will be paired with a *** *** black or duckett ghost. Thanks in advance.

If you're not fishing saltwater, the HD has more line capacity than you'd ever need. If you look around, you can find the Type R for $130-$135 very easily. It's a great reel at that price. I like the upgrades on it better than the regular Tatula.

Like Tywithay said, the Type R can be found a little lower than $150. I think it is worth the extra money over the regular Tatula, especially if you are interested in a higher gear ratio.

HD is a swimbait reel.

My opinion is that the Tatula is the best deal. When on the water, I do not notice any differance vs the Type R.

You can get a good deal from Valley Sports, site sponsor.

Tatula R100HS or HSL are high speed 8.1:1 the best reason for choosing the type R, plus lighter weight spool, bearing up grade, lighter reel weight 7.6 oz vs 8 oz and better cosmetics. The price difference is close to $35.

The standard Tatula come in high speed 7.3:1 and other ratios, so does the type R.

Give Ron a call.

Neither did TackleTour.
