Well gentlemen, I went out yesterday and I think thats the last of it for me this season. I caught TONS of perch and hooked into 1 bass that spit it back at me. It was a great season tho!

Time to get out the trout gear!

Good day on Sunday!  Dropped the boat in Sciver around 530am.  Bite didnt start until late though, which I thought was odd considering the full moon.  First bite came around 7am, which was a 4+lb smal

  • I have been catching smallmouth in the Deleware at the Yardley ramp on swimbaits. I have a 12 foot Jon with a 3 hp I run there. It's a nice change of pace.

  • Hello All! Some of these names may remember me from bassbarn! I have been fishing pennwarner since 1999, I sport a 2013 TXW Tracker with a 60efi Mercury. I love to talk strategy and techniques.

Glad you had a good season. I'm on the lake until it freezes. If we are lucky it won't!

Hello Gents,

Anyone been out on the lakes lately, I  took a few weeks off becuase of work. I was thinking of heading out for some pike action on sciver, anyone been having any luck in Morrisville or Manor. I would think the walleye would be active with the cold water. Thanks for any input Gerry C

I was on Van Sciver today and landed 4 largemouth on a Blade Bait. All the jumbo perch you wanted also. Nice day to be out.

Nice! I keep missing the warm days. Had time Saturday but temperature never got above 35 hahaha. Was not doing that again, I froze with winds out of the ssw at 14mphs on Tuesday.

I slaughtered perch up to 3 pds on jigs tipped with Brinkman minnows and blade baits. I lost a really decent fish on 2pd test, fought it for ten minutes and never even seen it. No bass for a few weeks, but really not fishing hard for them. I think I'm going to shrink wrap the boat, got some snow on my tarp and don't wanna tear a hole in it. Hope everyone has a good season. Next year, I'll have a garage and I'll fish till it freezes haha

Can't wait to get out on the water again... Is it spring yet? Might take a drive to Penn Warner to do some bank fishing if it isn't frozen over still. Anyone recommend any decent bank fishing spots on manor or sciver?

Haven't fished from the banks. Hope you didn't freeze!

i still have to go up and renew my membership can't wait for this fishing season only a month and 10 days until trout opener

Supposed to get some warmer weather this week gentlemen!  Get ready!

I was at Sciver on Monday and it looked like about 4 inches of ice, but I could hear it cracking, so it won't be long!

Alright Alright!

Welcome Spring 2015! Shrink wrap is off and some new electronics installed! I was up at the club a few times this winter, ice fishing was fun but cold. Plenty of open water to be seen on Manor. Will be on the lake this weekend, weather and conditions permitting! I hope to see you guys out there Gerry C!

Hello All!

I have been out a few times since St Patty's Day, the weather has been less than cooperative, with most days fishing in a strong NW/W wind and temps hanging in the low 50's. The fishing for me has been slow, with most of my fish caught being crappie and perch. Yestersday, I finally got into a few bass. Lost a nice fish on a slow rolled crankbait in deep water that was probably over 4. Hopefully this weather breaks and the fishing picks up. The water temperature in Sciver is 42 degrees, and my last time out in Manor its was 48 haha. Guess the spawn will be taking place in June at this pace! The guys over BCAC don't seem to be having any difficulty boating fish. They had a decent bag on the 29th tournament. Hope to see you guys out there soon enough, will be out Saturday for a Lowrance Sonar day!

Thanks for the water temp update. Are you having a map made from your sonar day?

Anyone been out? I'm hoping to get out some day this week.

I was out on Van Sciver. Jerkbaits won the day. We got 7. They are staging on the ledges.

Hey Tom!

Dude its been an amazing spring for me, the jerkbait bite is out of control right now. A few guys are pulling in fish up to 7.4 pds. I got one over 5.8 last week. Fish seem like they are trying to move into spawning grounds, but are still staging off the drops. Still havent had a decent jig bite yet...

Thanks for the tips. I'm planning on fishing the day on Sat. I'll post a report after.

To calm on Saturday and too windy on Sunday. Had a tough time Saturday. Bluebird skies no wind and very clear water do not make for optimum conditions. Sunday wasn't much better was about 20° cooler and very windy. On Saturday I was able to see a lot of males cruising the shallows but I didn't see any nests and didn't see any females. I don't think they're ready to spawn yet. Looks like the males were just cruising around looking for a good spawning sites. They had no interest in taking any lures and were easily spooked. There were some fish being caught here and there but nobody did really well from the people I talk to.
