So we decided to give Morrisville lake a try. Fished from 10:30 to 2pm. Water temp was 60. Caught 4 bass using a jerk bait in 3-6' water. The bite was soft for all of them.

Good day on Sunday!  Dropped the boat in Sciver around 530am.  Bite didnt start until late though, which I thought was odd considering the full moon.  First bite came around 7am, which was a 4+lb smal

  • I have been catching smallmouth in the Deleware at the Yardley ramp on swimbaits. I have a 12 foot Jon with a 3 hp I run there. It's a nice change of pace.

  • Hello All! Some of these names may remember me from bassbarn! I have been fishing pennwarner since 1999, I sport a 2013 TXW Tracker with a 60efi Mercury. I love to talk strategy and techniques.

Weights please .

The largest was approximately 3lbs, the other 3 fish were 1 to 1.5lbs.

Fished Sciver from 9 to 5pm. Water temps from 55 to 58 at mid day and a bit windy. Had lots of pike trailing my spinners, jerkbaits & bucktail all day, but I just couldn't figure out what they wanted. Other than that I didn't see a darn thing!

Got out on Sciver with my new Terrova yesterday. I'm pleased with the way this thing works so far. There's a learning curve from the cable but that can be overcome. Saw lots of bass in the shallows with no takers. Only Pickerel were biting. I will keep you posted.

I was out yesterday afternoon . I didn't see many fish . Only a few small bass in the shallows but nothing of any size they all look like small males. It was a bit windy and the water was super clear . It's been a rough spring with some wild temperature changes and I think the fish are little bit confused . The water temperature was almost in the mid 60s I was getting readings between 63 and 64 but wasn't getting bit

Mr Frodo, were you on Sciver? They should be getting active soon!

I drove by the lakes about 4 times this past weekend but didn't fish.....we were on our way to the river to go after shad and stripers :)  Didn't catch any stripers but we caught a bunch of shad and a few decent sized channel cats.

As we drove by my dad said he might join this year but he has an inboard jet boat for the river and wonders if the grass will cause a big problem for him....anyone know if the lake is pretty grassy and might interfere with a jet type motor?

-Good luck zildjian. Let us know how it goes.

- flyfisher, Manor lake has a lot of grass, but I couldn't say for sure if it would be a problem for a jet.

Thanks, and this may sound like a dumb question but is the grass present in all the normal running lanes?  From what I understand, the biggest problem with a jet in grassy areas is idling to a spot as it can draw the grass into the intake and make you have to clean it out. So I guess that brings up an additional question of how much idling around is there at that lake meaning lots of no wake zones etc...

Sorry, I can't help you on that. Stop at the club house boat ramp and talk to somebody there. Almost always someone coming or going.

Not sure if anyone saw this, but I saw on Iaconelli's facebook page that he just shot a video/show this week at Penn Warner.  Looks like the pics were from Manor lake.
