Wandered into my local DSG yesterday evening - been prepping for a tournament this weekend and I found one of my spinning rods top guide is spinning free on the pole. Went in to buy a replacement rod since I won't have time to get it fixed before Sunday. Grabbed a Veritas spinning rod, wandered into the lures section and started noticing that everything is buy 1 get 1 50% off...

 

Ended up walking out with 8 Packs of Keitech Swing Impact FATs,  2 more live target baitballs squarebills, 2 live target frogs, and the Veritas for $95.00 after my $10 off...

 

I almost feel like I robbed them...and I have a terrible urge to go back and buy more 

Man these threads are killing me. My DSG is not having those types of sales and don't have the selection I am reading about anyway. And Gander Mountain is a few blocks down but their prices are high as the deficit! Consider yourselves lucky!

Honestly for how small my closest DSG is - I stayed away because I figured they wouldn't have the selection or the sales...I consider myself doubly lucky - one I found the sales..two I found it on a non-pay week so I didn't have as much scratch to throw around 

What do you mean you don't have time to get it fixed? You just heat it with a lighter, pull it off, put a dab of hot glue on the rod, and put the tip back on. 2 minute fix. 

 

DSG has good sales. Almost always a sale on line. Either trilene or sufix. Always good to check weekly! 

The Dick's around here are having the sales, the only problem is they just carry run of the mill stuff. 

What dicks are you guys shopping at that sells keitech? I can't find any dicks near me that sells keitech or megabass?

I read these posts and it amazes me the diversity in baits and lures Dick's carry in each store from state to state. Not one store is similar to the other. Some carry this while others carry that. 

My local DSG has nothing on sale right now and it seems they have been reluctant to restock much of anything. I have also not seen any new reels or rods come in.   They use to have an awesome fishing department.  It seems to be going down hill.
