Can I use bullet weights with spinnerbaits?

Don't see why would you want to do such a thing but I suppose you can.

Well I only have 1/4 oz spinnerbaits but am fishing deeper water tomorrow and want them to sink faster

If you want to use a 1/4oz size bait but you want it to sink faster you can either buy a 1/2oz hidden weight type spinnerbait. The bait has a profile of a 1/4oz bait as most of the weight is hidden on the hook shank, or you can go to a tackle store and buy a 1/4oz rubber core sinker and simply take the rubber core out and put it over the hook shank and pinch it closed with a needle nose pliers. The onlt problem with that is a lot of 1/4oz spinnerbaits use small hooks and you might not have enough hook shank to fit the rubber core sinker on it.

You could try adding weight to your spinnerbaits by clamping a rubber core sinker (naturally w/o the rubber core) to either the hook shank (sort of makes it a hidden weight type spinnerbait) or to the wire shaft where it exits the head. This also allows you to maintain the smaller profile of the 1/4 oz bait but with additional weight.

War Eagle Screaming Eagle spinnerbaits are what you need.  1/4 oz size - 1/2 oz weight.  If you want to go heavier than that the easiest way is to contact one of the myriad custom spinner bait builders  out there and have them make what you want.

What you want is a pinch on sinker (look in the salt water section), essentially a rubber core without the rubber core, and 2 ears on either end, or solder...

Bullet weight will work fine.

I have added weight to my spinnerbaits by taking a split shot weight and pinching it closed to the wire in front of the lead head.
