This Little Lure Saved The Day And Blew My Mind!

Went out and bass fished for 3-4 hours and tried many things and couldn't get any species to bite, tied on this little guy and caught 3 small bass, 4 mudfish 4lbs+, 30+ war mouth, and 1 small catfish. I've had a 20 pack of these little things and never tried them and figured I'd give it a try haha

Put it on my thumb to show you how small it is, this is finesse at its finest haha! Those 4-6lb mudfish put up a heck of a fight on the light line and tiny hook! Wanted to get a picture of one of the mudfish but left my phone in the truck :(

That's cool... Lil Marabou jigs, I started fishing those in 77.... In creeks, rivers, wade fishing, that's how I learned to line watch too... Yep, nice day of fishing for ya! And a great little bait for panfish, heck, any fish...

Yeah, I think I found my new favorite bowfin lure....

I figured I could hook up with a bigger bass but the biggest bass I got on it was probably 14 inches but it was still fun on that light tackle!

I was kinda fishing it like a Shakey head but off the bottom, I would shake it as it fell then slowly lift it then shake it again as it fell and they would usually come and grab it on the fall!

Oh man... They're like a spot, when your flipping and pitching they hit your bait so hard you think your about to reel in a hawg!

Everything will eat those little marabou crappie jigs, I've even caught a little muskie on one. I used to fish them on a super ultralight rod with 2lb test for whatever would bite. It's always fun with the number and variety of fish I'd catch and some of them would be very good sized.

You can catch anything on those little jigs.  They are a great way to break up the day.

I use those on crappies and occaisionally a big bass comes to spoil the party

Everyone loves those charming little jigs. Including the fish.

i've been a sonar student this season so i've been carrying a crappie rod at all times. those little lures make it easy to catch fish on the sonar so it's easier to identify what fish and baitballs look like on ur unit. i've heard pro's refer to the drop shot as a vacuum cleaner that picks up anything around but imo those tiny jigs are the true vacuums.   its also ironic how much less fish and lure action you'll see from a 1/8 oz hair jig. fish aren't near as drawn to it b/c it falls so quickly. but they're down right hypnotized by the free floating/light jigging action of 1-32-1/16oz

Is it possible to get skunked using these?

Big bass will definitely eat those. My brother has managed to catch two 4lb largemouth on a trout magnet while crappie fishing. (1" straight tail plastic, 1/64oz jighead!)
