Valhalla is 20 minutes from the house and I picked up my credentials Sunday.  Heading out there in the morning for my 3rd day on the course.  Fun times in the Derby City!

Keep an eye on Rory & Sergio. They are both hot. If Tiger shows up he will go home early. Have fun.

Yea, big buzz in Louisville, but Woods got a back ache or something. But hey, some great Golf players WILL be there. Enjoy you're-self!

Take a rod , and sneak fish Guy!

Majors are great fun.  Was lucky enough to live a few minutes from Oakland Hills, been at a  U.S. Open, Senior Open and Ryder Cup.

From what I've read Woods hasn't showed up on the property,  I think it's doubful he will be playing.

Followed Rory and Darren Clarke for quite a bit and almost ran over Sergio when I turned the corner at the media tent.

TW did show up today, on course practicing now.  Not a done deal if he will play but it looks like it.

Those two will be in the hunt. TW showed up but sore backs are sore backs. Anything out of the ordinary without proper rest will start spasms all over again.

I was in the media dining tent when they broke the news he was on the property.  Next thing I knew I was in an empty room with full plates of food around me. LOL.

Food? All to you're self , I would camp out and smoke a cigar!!

Yea, TW showed, but that back surgery stuff, Yikes it's not so great... We will see...

I could post a nasty, but funny, about Tiger but I will refrain.

After all, this is a family site.

Even though many experts think the Tiger era is over, I'm starting to feel the same way, he remains the biggest story in golf.

Just as TW needs to thank people like Palmer for paving the way for endorsements, the players of today need to than TW for tournament prize funds.

Tiger was toast all day. Never looked happy, only in pain.

Yea... Nice wet golf play, I think he finished 7 Over? Thereby a early tournament for him. I give him kudos for showing and playing a couple days.. The back problems are very limiting and I believe it is showing... Calling for isolated T-storms Sat. Too... Plenty of great play going on though....

He clearly was not in good form and by his own admission needs to be in better physical condition.   Watching "Live from the PGA" the other night Brandle Chamblee's analyse was right on the money IMO.  Not to be too technical but his steep downswing forces him to sway to the rear a bit putting a lot of pressure on his back.  My own personal thought for some time, that some of the experts are starting to say is it's coach, Foley just isn't the right guy for him.  He won 5 times last year not because of Foley but in spite of Foley.  A healthy TW is still a force to be reckoned with, but at nearly 39 it's time to pass the gauntlet to Rory.

The kid did it. Congrats to Rory.

Back problems are serious, as we all know.

The damage to the spine and nerves will continue until you get corrective surgery.

The problem with back surgery is that one may never be 100% again. And there is no guarantee that the pain will totally go away or that the scare tissue will not cause future problems and pain.

TW needs to have a heart-to-heart with his back surgeon and then decide how to address his back problem.

He may be a great golf analyst one day if his back continues to get worse and he can't continue on the tour.

But you guys are right. TW brought golf back to a height that it enjoyed during the days of Palmer and Nicholas.

I was too, been real cool if that last chip shot went it, may have changed Rory's strategy.  No question about it, the best golfer won.

Ended up sitting beside the 9th green Sunday with a view of #1's approach and green.  Watched every golfer come through and then went home to watch it play out.  There were too many drunks for my liking.  The rain was pretty wild to sit through LOL

Kudos to the grounds crew to get the course playable in such a short time.
