What is your favorite rod to bomb big cranks (1/2 ounce or over) a long ways on? Needs to have a good moderate action too?

I'm a fan of the mojo glass big crankster , It's not for the faint of heart as it's pretty heavy but I really like the way it casts and handles fish. I throw DD22'S 6XD'S ect. on it.

 I also use a old quantum tour that goes back 20 years or so, when they were still made in the U.S. and used lamiglas blanks..

X2 on the Big Crankster. I wasn't a fan of fishing deep cranks until I bought that rod because they were so much work for me to fish. Now even the 6XDs are no problem to fish. It doesn't just launch them a long ways either, I can actually feel what they're doing and what the bottom feels like instead of just feeling like dragging in dead weight. 

I recommend the Powell Endurance 755, it is a glass-combo type rod.  (I dont know the "official name," of what Powell calls it.)  But, in the Powell tradition, you feel everything and can make the long casts.  TW has reduced their prices on Endurances.

I too prefer glass and only glass when deep crankin. I can get you hooked up with a custom glass rod of any length you want for deep divers. It's also a 100% e-glass rod, which is a much better built blank and more sensitive than the glass rods you find from major brands. Shoot me a PM if you are interested in one.

Are you trying to stay at or under $200 retail cost or are you willing to go that high with a rod on sale?  The rod I throw with the right sale could get to that point but I don't want to make the recommendation if it doesn't apply.
