when you started out fishing and it's dead as could be, and don't quit mind you ,but then all of a sudden it just explode's and can't figure out what's happened or how this happening come in your mind . all day no bites, then more then you didn't think possible just did, adding to it, just seemed no matter what you used either just worked, as far as lures go. 

i haven't had that happen in a while ,but has happened too. 

Uhh, If I understant correctly your asking have you ever went a whole day without bites then all the sudden the bass "turn on".

Yes, sometimes it seems like the whole day nothing will bite then for 30 minutes or so the bass will just start destroying any lure then just shut off again...

Seems to happen to me during the summer more than anytime of year...

There´s one kind of day that I just hate, you arrive, make a cast, catch a fish and then NADA !!!!  Doesn´t happen oftenly but it happens. In theory I know everything my everyday lake has in it, every branch, every drop, every creek bend, every rock, every fish and nuthin´. I can take not catching anything for hours but catching one and then nothing just makes my blood boil.

 

The only problem is that I don´t know it´s one of those days until the day is over .......

 

But what the hell, the worse fishing days is better than the best day at work.

It does happen! You just hit the honey hole. For some reason bass are congregating in a given area. It might be a current thing, it might be a change in depth, it might be a change in water temp, but it is almost always a change in bait fish concentration. Don't move off, just sit there and enjoy the action. If there is food in the area the bass will not be far away.

As said, current can turn the bass on. But the solunar feeding times have an effect, too. I have seen the bass turn on then back off right on time, especially on riprap and bridge pilings

Such a simple minded animal can make us sooo frustrated.  But then that's why we all enjoy bass fishing. 

A pressure change or weather change can start a feeding frenzy.......sometimes you are lucky enough to be there when it happens...I think that's what you're talking about......don't forget your meds.....

Bass can be caught any time, doesn't mean they want to be caught.  Any species of fish will instinctively feed when bait is readily available, when the baitfish get active fish turn on.

look at usprimetimes.com , now look at the graph chart for each day, now start taking a note of when you catch fish during the day and how that relates to the chart.  see if there is a corelation.  I can tell you at my lake, when its a crappy day during the solar lunar cycle there might be 6 boats out at my lake.  but when its an excellent day there will be more like 20-25.    sometimes people think about how things effect bass when they forget about how things effect shad, crawfish, etc.  When the moon and sun both have major events at the same time, you better believe that it effects the smallest animals in the lake, thus it will effect the biggest ones too.  For example, when do bass and shad spawn during the month? right around the full moon. 

learn when the major and minor times are and make sure to fish during those times

I appreciate the full moon and barometric pressure effecting the bite but I can only fish when I can fish so sometimes I just have to deal with it. 

 

Just last Friday I was fishing all morning with very little to show for it and at noon they turned on for about 30 minutes and then shut off again. It happens. I think it's all part of the deal. If we all had em figured out I think it would become boring.
