I'm looking at getting a reel for pitching and this one is on sale. I've read some good reviews on this reel and I've read quite a few bad ones too. I was wondering if this reel was worth it.

Yeah, that's the place. But if the reels suck, 1/2 off won't matter. lol.

I have had one for a total of 5 days! Haha! So far, I am really impressed. I don't know much about quantum and I've never had any experience with their customer service department. You can throw light lures with no issue. Feels very sturdy in your hands. My only complain is the drag. Mine is a 7.1:1 and it claims to have 17 lbs of drag. No way, it probably maxes around 10-12lbs

Never used one, but I will continue to watch this post to see if a couple of members comment on this...and to see if it turns into more.

I hear the 150 model was the cats meow. I cant see the 100 being a risk at that price.

Well, I ordered 2, one for my brother and one for me, and a few plastics. With the $25 off coupon they were $87 each.

I hope they work out.

You won't be disappointed I have a few smokes and have had no problems whatsoever. I like the 100's but prefer my 150. Good reels & definitely a killer deal you got yourself.

While I don't own a smoke, I do own 9-10 quantum reels, some of them for close to 15years, and I don't know anything about their company or customer service department either. Because I've never had an issue with a single one of them- and therefore have never tried to contact them.
