Carrot Stix Issues

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had any issues with the carrot stix wild black?  I have broke 2 flipping stixs within the past year.  I have 2 of the orange ones with no issues just the blacks ones.

yeah im going to take It back to the local shop i got it from they just sent me another one with no problem but I'm gonna see if i can just trade it for something else.  It just makes me so mad they the average bass fisherman is like me, we spend hard earned money on what we think is a good product and they broke setting the hook.  I say break this one shattered, its in 4 pieces.

I have one of the originals with the "carrot fiber" in the blank.  Mine is still going strong, a lot of other people haven't been so lucky.

They still make carrot stixs?

I was wondering the same thing... I thought the word was out by now

those are the good ones I'm guessing i have 2 of those with no issues

My buddy swears by them, but then again he has the earliest version of them (orange). He does a lot of frogging Flipping and punching. I remember reading the company was bought out or something. I'd switch brands ASAP. 13 omens are great budget rods and the new Kistler pros are supposed to be good, a lot of guys here use powell diesels. The daiwa T rods are cheap on TW right now and sale applies tomorrow.

I had one of the original ones and liked it, but the thing just folded in half while I was yo-yoing a trap on fall, craziest way I've ever seen a rod break.

I was flipping when this one broke and when you set the hook and have 4 pieces.  LOL

I have a pro grade med hvy 6'9 fast, use it every outing from the time I purchased it, 4 years ago. Never a problem, and the rod is awesome. I have caught way more fish on it than all of my other rods combined, hundreds if not a thousand fish. I have been wondering how the new wild wild black rods would be, but every time I went to get one, they have been sold out. I wanted a 7'3 med hvy fast, but got tired of waiting for the rods to show up for sale, so went with a 7'2 med hvy x fast Fenwick Aetos. Awesome rod and no regrets. Some of the older models were good, especially the PG rods from what I have seen. For some reason a lot of the wild series had breaking issues, but I haven't heard a lot about the newest gen, the wild wild black or orange. Good luck with your decision!
