Guntersville Bound, Any Advice Welcome.

Featured Replies

my brother in law and i will be fishing guntersville monday though wednesday next week. we will be camping in g-ville state park. from our reading frogs around grass seem to be the ticket.

anyone have advice, pointers or gps coordinates to share? :eyebrows:  we both would really like to catch a smallmouth.

looking forward to checking one off the bucket list regardless.

Just got back from there and it is tuff, with all the rains last week it has missed up the  mats and of the 4 days fisihng what we caught was around daybreak in the mats on frogs or small crankbaits or spinnerbaits on the edges of them. This was my first trip there this year that i did not catch one over 5lbs most of them was 15 inch fish at 2- 3 lbs and it was at random spots.

Remeber if you pull up to a mat listen for the blue gill smacking the water if you dont here that find another one dont waste your time there.
