Which Electric Razor?

Featured Replies

So I have a Braun Activator thats about 8 yrs old and pretty worn out. I've replaced the cutter and foil many times but it just doesn't work like it used to. What brands are you guys using these days? Any new technology out? Foil or rotary?

I've got a Braun Series 7 that's about 3 years

old. Replaced the foil once. Works well. I also

shave with a blade, depending on the day and

the time I have

I was reading of a new razor that's $300 and

out this fall. Supposed to be new tech, closest

electric shave ever.

I'm looking for the link in another tab, will post

when I find it.

The Philips Norelco 9700

I've been using Norelco's for 40 years. Then again, I have had a full beard for 30 plus years so I only use it for my neck and trimming.

I use a norelco 6100 Series for when I'm on active duty and drill weekends other wise it's no shave November

Well, after some more reading, I think I'm going with the 790CC from Braun.

I like the one I have, this one just has an updated cutter system and a couple more features. Reviews are through the roof on it. Thanks guys.

Good choice. That's the one I have. Been a very good shaver.

Man I wish. If my work didn't require me to shave I probably wouldn't. I was just off for 2 weeks on FMLA with my wife and it was nice not having to shave every day, or at all  :eyebrows:

I'm lucky...usually use a cheap bic...one will last a couple weeks or so.  Usually just use water if I keep up on it..if not will use some kind of gel.  One can lasts months.  Have done this for over thirty years

Vote for Braun series 7

I grow steel wool on my face and the Braun never even petered a little

After a week of owning it, I would recommend this thing to anyone. It's amazing; smooth, as quiet as you could expect, fast and just works great. I'm very happy with it.

Lol I use the same Wahl clippers on my face that I use on my head. Works great, fast and they're cheap.

I've tried electric trimmers but they all want to pull hair rather than cut.

I have $20 Wahl clippers. They're cheap and I can't grow anything anyways. Lol
