anyone here use hi-vis line like the bright flame green(I think its called solar collector)Berkley big game? if so do you tie direct to the lure or use a leader? the water I fish isn't clear its more murky/stained color.muddy in the summer(thanks cows  )thinking about picking up some next time I head to academy.i prefer not to use a leader so if it would be too visible to the fish then i'll just get clear like i usually do.i think the bright green would look awesome on my curado/endurance but like i said if i would have to use a leader then i'd rather just get clear.     thanks.

I use hi-vis Power Pro (yellow, to be exact), and I always 

tie a leader on.

 

When I used to go straight mono or copoly, I did try some 

hi-vis stuff. Never tied a leader on then, and I was mostly

using smaller bait and caught plenty of crappie, panfish.

 

They don't seem to mind the color at all. Bass, it is highly 

debated as to whether or not color matters.

I also use yellow braid with a leader. No issues catching fish. I have not tried straight hi viz line though.

With mono or copoly, I like a Moss green color even when line watching.

Plan on switching out my green PowerPro for a hi-viz in the spring. Would like to try the blue.

HI-VIS Yellow Sufix PB for Allround use

HI-VIS Pink Sufix Nanobraid for BFS use.

 

I tie a short leader on both to provide a break away line just in case a I hit a snag that would 

not pull out.  When flipping/pitching to weeds I tie straight braid no leader.

Yellow Diawa Samurai and Gold Stren Superbraid with and without a fluoro leader.

Are you talking about mono? Big game is mono, as far as the nuclear green I found out years ago it's brittle line, doesn't hold a knot well... Stick with clear or normal green.

yeah.i'm talking about hi-vis mono.i usually just use green braid when I use braid.(which isn't often)

10# white Ghost tied direct.  I like Siege.  Have 8# and 12# in Neon Tangerine.  Tied direct.

I like bright braid because it's easier for me to see. Only reason I've used bright mono is when I'm catfishing.
