I'm looking at the Lews Speed Spool series baitcasters, was wondering what everyone thought of them? I've read great things about the reel, just wanted to get some feedback about em. Thanks again guys!!

I like my speed spool, but I like my new ss lfs a lot better. A little bit smoother, lighter, more compact, and it has a clicking drag. Just my opinion I prefer the lfs. The speed spool is a good reel too.

That's actually the model I was looking at. I've heard it is super smooth, and casts a mile away with ease.

Outstanding reel for $100.

I have the regular speed spool on my spinnerbait/buzzbait/bladed jig rod and I have zero complaints. 

Have the SS for my cranks, it's quiet and smooth. Just received the Tournament MG it's also quite and smooth, it has the clicking drag and spool tension knob. I'm really starting to become a big Lew's fan.

I owned one &it was the best $100 reel I've ever had my hands on.the smoothness of that reel has only been matched by my curado I.its actually quieter than my curado.

Bought a lews ss a few months ago...so far I really like it. Although, I only had some cheap bps to compare it to, it was a nice nice upgrade.

Food for thought : For $29 dollars more would the Tournament MG be a better buy OR  the proven Speed Spool for $49 more ?
