In the Christmas flyer I just received it appears that the BPS Carbonlite rods have turned white.  Anyone know for sure?

I saw the same thing. They've changed the JM Carbonlite reels from black to white as well....

I am looking at the flyer and I am seeing white reels but no white rods. On page 17 of the flyer, it shows the Carbonlite rod. Still charcoal gray, or black.

Scrubbing their site and they have all the

normal Carbonlites, but all are designated

as Carbonlite CL, while the new white

models are just "Carbonlite".

 

And online they only have the spinning

version of the new white rods.

 

Unless they just renamed the material, 

it is now "RT 4 Graphite"...

 

Hopefully they are as light as the CL models.

Love mine. 6'6" model. Perfect paired with a Chronarch 50e.

 

Have to get my hands on the new ones, they look like they'll

pair well color-wise, but I really like the carbon colored models.

Just received my "Christmas Sale" catalog from BPS.  The Carbonlites are shown in white.  One can only wonder why BPS is trying to fix something that isn't broken.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the new CarbonLite casting reels are also white.  Local tackle shop is a BPS outlet and they have had them for a while now.

I'm just a little perplexed as to why BPS

is doing this. Hopefully there will be two 

lines of Carbonlite. The white and the black

Carbonlite "CL" rods...

That's a great price on that rod, as far as color changes, BPS, always, follows color trends on reels, rods, that's just the way it's been for a long time, personally I dislike white rods, orange rods, yellow rods ( not lamiglas ) .. Rant over...

I'm hoping they stick with the charcoal gray rod's and have a seperate rod line up for the white rod's. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I think the Carbonlite's are the nicest looking rod I own. Will be scooping up at least one rod and reel for those sale prices.
