Adding More Scent To Powerbait

Featured Replies

I really like using powerbait minnows for drop shotting and do have confidence in the scent but...

Has anyone ever added additional scent? as in sprayed something else in the bag to soak. I have megastrike and Kicknbass, was thinking about throwing some garlic Knb on them.

Thoughts?

I've seen re-charge bottles for both types of berkley baits @ Walmart ... I haven't used them though. I found 15 year old bag of 10" power worms this past summer.. Still smell, albeit a bit weaker.

Megastrike on  Any bass bait - makes it better.

Why not?? I dip the tails of the power worms in JJ's when I feel like it

yea Mr. Uhrig I definitely use that stuff too.

just wondered if adding garlic knb to the powerbait had any potential negative :)

Adding garlic scent to a bait causes it to attract Gumba bass, all of whom then ask you "What do you mean you think I am funny?  Am I a clown, here to amuse you..."

I put megastrike on Powerbait stuff. Still catches fish.

I would avoid mixing chemicals used for attractant scents, it can cause problems with no upside.

Mixing natural scent like anise oil and garlic works good.
