Man that stinks!! Did he have the drag cranked down??

Shad or Shiners will work!! You maybe better off chasing bait balls at this point looking for the birds dive bombing and casting into the fray with a lip-less crank-bait or the A-rig.

Jigging spoons or flutter spoons cast under the diving birds or dropped on baitfish schools you mark on the finder. Biggest mistake guys make when they see diving birds is motoring right up to them. You have to be quiet and move up slowly with the trolling motor and make long cast a lot of the time or the fish will spook and scatter and you'll be out of luck.

Sassy shad 4" on 1/4-1/2 oz baits. Fish wehadkee creek or maple creek or the railroad trestle area for best results. Birds will tip you off but not always productive. I fish the river below West Point this time of year for stripers. They are bigger there. The generation schedule dictates their feeding habits but if they're moving water they'll be biting.

Live bait seems to be the best bet on tge lake. Bass shiners it wild caught shad work best.
