Some of us old guys may remember a Senko that was produced many years ago called the Smoke Shad, color 958.

 

I have one that was given to me by another bass fisherman.

 

Since I received that bait this past September I have been searching for it.

 

So far I have located a Smoke Shad is the D-Shad. No Senkos have been found anywhere.

 

Do any of you guys who have been fishing since the 1980s (when the Senko hit the market) have any recollection of such a Senko?

 

I have it; I have told the guys on this Forum that I have it; and still I can't find any trace of a Smoke Shad Senko number 958.

Only problem is that the Yamamoto people say it was never made.

 

The one I have has the Yamamoto brand on it.

 

Just wondering if anyone remembers this Senko color in the good ole days.

Brad at Bick Baits can do that if you send him a bait. His sticks are closest to a real Senko I have seen.

Yep, it is weird. Spoke to the lady who does handles the retail orders for Yamamato and she and the production manager have never heard of a Senko in color 958.

 

But I have one.

The 1980s? I thought senkos came out in the early '00s!

Those Smoke stick baits you all suggested are very, very close to the one I have.
