P-Line C21

Is this a good swim bait line seen it at bps for about 5 bucks

It's decent line I have used it.

I've used it and found it to be lacking in performance. It doesn't have great abrasion resistance, has a lot of memory, and a lot of stretch. I'm sure it will catch fish just fine, but I wouldn't risk expensive swimbaits by skimping on cheap line.

You're almost there; you got the brand right. Now just search for PLine PF.

that line has like zero memory. It isn't very abrasion resistant though.

With this line you get what you pay for. I used it for one outing and stripped it right off. Its awful imo.

I must have gotten the two worst spools in the world then. They were coiling right off the filler spool.

I frequently use that line in 6,10,12,15 and seldom 20lb. As a run of the mill line it's good. Through my experience, the memory is constant, it'll be coilly the first couple cast then softens up after being wet no matter if its been 1 day or a whole season. After this first couple casts it's smooth.

Far as abrasion, it's been above average when it came to toothy fish, 12 and 15 have been real good against pickerel.

For swim bait line it depends what you define, big? small? Generally pline's CXX line is more suited based on the crowd.

I've had 8 pound on my pier casting rod for kings and my float rod for months and the line isn't jumpy at all. I like it a lot.

I used the 20lb and didn't care for it, the memory isn't to bad but it is stretchy as heck....

I used it in several sizes including 25lb in some nasty trees. I stuck a 5.5, played tug-of-war back and forth across a limb for several seconds before the fish wrapped up too tight to move. I ended up lifting a tree bigger than my boat off the bottom a couple feet until I was able to dunk my head and shoulders under the water and grab the fish.

It has a lot of stretch, but it is a strong line and I've used the 20lb for smaller swimbaits with no problems.

That's what I call dedication!

Best line for swimbaits hands down is Izorline XXX co-polymer line , super strong and supple without too much stretch . I use 20# for baits 2-5 oz.and 25# for baits 5-8 oz. And 30# for baits 8-12 oz.

I use the smoke color but they now have a green colored line which I will try next time I respool .

I would disagree and agree with Tywithay, the ones I tried were crazy memory.

I like floroclear better, still has more memory than I like but not horrid like C21.

my favorite is still CX, not too much memory at all

+1 ... This is a budget line - at least step up to Sufix Elite !

Here you go, hat and sunglasses still off and shirt soaked from going in. kanasbassfisher08 was with me and jogged my memory tonight, I was actually almost waist deep with him holding onto my feet so I could reach the fish, in a lake with a bunch of muskie in it  :eyebrows:
