Hey has anyone ever notice any difference, quality wise, between the same series rod, spinning vs casting? This came up after looking at reviews, the casting version had overwhelmingly positive reviews but the spinning had very mixed. Not sure if there were just more reviews one way or the other to sway me into thinking this or what.

I understand this may vary be brand and series but just as an overarching theme, do casting rods and spinning rods of the same series vary in quality?

the quality is the same. As a specific example of rods I own, the G.Loomis PR844S and

PR844C appear to be built with identical blanks.
