Check out the "Subliminal Message" in the ad.

I've seen some reference to it in a few posts.........and I know at least one guy (not me) who is chomping at the bit to get one. But they are back ordered everywhere.

They do look pretty cool.

omg...talk about a want

A bass boat not using a cable steer? Is that the "Subliminal Message"?

Wait and see the reviews. MK attempted this once before and it was a flop. For someone who has electric steer, my only complaint has been the stow and deploy. If this turns out successful, I just might need to get one.

No Scott, the guy launching the boat is "cool" and looks like he knows what he is doing and launches the boat without any problems or stopping to unhook it from the trailer, etc.

The two guys watching him are made to look like rookies and they are dressed sloppy and look like they could not catch a cold.

The guy with the trolling motor is vastly superior to the two younger guys.

So if you want to be "cool" and impress people you just got to have that trolling motor.

Me?  I will continue to dress sloppy and act like Colombo on the water.

Of course the guy launching the boat is cool. He's got a $70,000 Ranger boat! What's subliminal about that?  :angel500:

I thought it meant walleye fishermen are superior

$70k for a new Ranger walleye boat is a bargain

Knew I guy that had the old stow and deploy and needless to say he could not get rid of it fast enough,  Might be alright where weeds arent thick and instant turns need to the norm, like most S. FL fishing so I doubt I'll be in the market. Looks cool, too bad it wasn't a Ford truck towing it.

Driving 60mph should blow those weeds right off.

Especially with the trolling motor deployed works wonders.

And when that boat floats a little too far out of range or the batteries are a little low next time, then he'll really look like the cool guy at the ramp.

This is what I would be worried about.

I contacted Minn Kota about the ability to re-stow the motor in the event of any failure.  They assured me that the provision is built-in.  I'll let you know, because as soon as I can get my hands on the Ulterra, my Terrova goes up for sale.  I've been champing at the bit for that motor since I first heard about it. First MK announced it would be available in early fall of last year, then early this year.  Now they are saying nothing.  My most recent email to MK last week resulted in the response that the motors were in production.  But where?  China?  Korea?  And when will they reach the USA?  I had hoped that I would have the new motor mounted on my boat by March, but my hopes are dimming.

I would have loved to see the guy retrieve his boat the same way he launched it

The guy is so cool, he has a remote that backs his truck and trailer down the ramp.

Well I guess you need a co angler anymore... :wink2:
