After reading and watching you guys I decided to give it a try.   It is a 7' casting light built on a mudhole custom blank, cork grips and a wooden reel seat.

Way to go! I love them metalic underwraps. More pictures as you make progress.

Yes,...more pics please ;)

I can hear him now,..."Honey,...I'm going to need a bigger shop and a few new tools...."  another wrapper is born.

You'll love that reel seat, Flechero used one on the spinning set up he made me last yr.  VERY comfy :)

Good luck, looks great so far!!

Yup, the wood seat is awsome.

Good job so far. Nice colors too on the guide wraps.

I am going to have to try one of those wooden seats sometime.

Thanks guys.  The weather has been great the last few days so I have been on the water, but I will get it finished in the next week or so.

FishinDaddy,

I'd like to see a little larger pic (300X300 pix). These 61 yr old eyes can't really see the work, i'd like to see it..

Tight Wraps!  ;)

Yeah, I'd like to see some better pics, too! ;) It can become obsessive! I started building rods a little over 10 yrs ago and have built well over 100 rods now for my self and quite a few others. I just built one last week and one the week before.  :)  It's addictive!
